My relation and history with nailpolish

Like all you girls I’ve been a polish-addic for a while now. I like to share my polishpast with you.
- First time wearing polish:
I think I was about 8 years old. My mother does not wear any make-up or polish so I used a very old and thick polish my grandmother had laying around.
- First time experimenting
When I was 11 I went to a very oldfashiond all girls school with uniform!!!!We where not allowed to use any make-up or polish. So in the weekends I went crazy with blue, yellow, green, ….
I ALWAYS used polish on my toes, the nuns of my school could not see that…
- First time nailarting:
I think I had to be around 16 years old. I used some stickers or just one color stripe… Kept it simple then.
When I was 18 I went to art school ( I have a master degree in arts now). There I started to use acryl paint and small markers to draw on my nails. Keeping the manicure intact was a big problem then, the topcoat alwarys smeard the whole design.
- How I met Konad:
This is quit a special story! I had my first Konads in 2003!!! Back then I had never seen any sets or kits. I’m graphic designer for a toy compagny and one day we got an e-mail from a compagny in the east. They showed us some new stuff they had. And there it was. I searched on the net and placed an order with a company in Korea.
3 bottels of polish, 2 plates stamp and scraper ( the black plastic one, better than the metal scraper)

Then I stopped a few years with Konad because my polish chipped after one day… I just used polish and no nail art.
In 2007 I bought a house with my boyfriend (soon to be husband….) We worked every day very hard in it. I went for Acryl nails, and this way you polish can hold up to a week.
A good reason to start with nail art again. Now (I’m 29) we live in our beautiful new house and I enjoy to do my nails on a quit evening.

So for 18years there has not been a day without nailpolish, sometimes only the toes.
